I am a lifelong resident of Marion. After graduation from Marion High School, I attended

John A Logan College and later Kelley School of Business – Bloomington In.

My Husband Pearl and I have three wonderful sons, Nicholas, Jarrod and Blake, and three

terrific daughter-in-laws and the best four grandchildren ever! They live in Georgia and South

Carolina, and we travel to visit as often as possible.

I value being a member of St Joseph Catholic Church, spending time with family and

friends, traveling, enjoying the outdoors and cooking.

•  1978 My banking career began with Bank of Egypt in May. In April 1985, the bank

was purchased by Banterra. Over 23 years, I held various positions; Teller, Assistant

cashier, Consumer lender, Collections officer and VP/Commercial lender. The

friends, knowledge, challenges, opportunities, and mentoring I received prepared

me for the next step in my banking career.

•  2001 I was recruited in the fall (shortly after 9:11 twin towers tragedy) to “start” a

new bank in Marion as Community Bank President of Old National Bancorp, based

out of Evansville, Indiana. To oversee the building construction located on

Williamson County Parkway in Marion. Hiring staff, registering with Federal Reserve

and all other duties to prepare for full-service banking. Together with outstanding

staff, we exceeded our 5-year goals in less than 3 years. 2001 – 2012 was an

exceptional time of building and growing in my banking career.

•  Upon leaving Old National Bank I considered retirement, until Mayor Bob Butler and

Commissioner Anthony Rinella contacted me to join The City of Marion as Director

of Water. The next 4 years brought new challenges, rewards and knowledge. I

appreciated the opportunity presented by Mayor Butler and Commissioner Rinella.

•  2016 I returned to banking as business banker/commercial lender with US Bank. I

worked with new and existing business clients from central Illinois to Southern

Illinois to provide business banking services.

•  2025 I decided to proceed with my passions:
